On Saturday the 7th of September, sisters, mothers, daughters, best friends and some men came together for a good cause at SheKnows Ink. Owner and tattoo artist, Shelby Downey, was horrified at all the news about femicide in South Africa and one night, whilst she was sketching a woman inspired drawing, she decided that she had to do something about it. #enoughisenough

Tats for bats started in 2016 and was the first tattoo tour of its kind. It is a great initiative to raise money and create awareness for bat conservation across the globe through tattoos, merchandise, the tats for Bats coloring-in book, bat art, and donations. The first tour in 2016 was called “The Bat Outta Hell tour” Busta Boltoon and his team managed to do 45 “Battoos” and sell over 35 pieces of artwork, raising R20 000 for bat conservation in South Africa
